Running and growing a business like The City Kitch couldn’t be accomplished without integral people like our Administrative Voice of Reason (A.V.O.R.) Natalya Mahr. Natalya lends her ability to administrate and facilitate to our sometimes-chaotic daily routines.
Born in British Guyana, Natalya re-located to the United States in 2007 when, as a teen, she moved to Phoenix, AZ. There she found work as a file-clerk before beginning her food career in the kitchen at the new Talking Stick Resort, working in one of the highest rated restaurants in Phoenix.
With a goal-oriented mind-set, Natalya attended the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Scottsdale, AZ graduating with an Associates Degree in culinary arts. She also earned certification as a Health Coach.
A move to New York proved fortuitous for Natalya. There she worked for Whole Foods Market in the Prepared Foods Dept. and as a supervisor in their Grocery Dept. It’s also there that she met her future husband, David.
The pair moved to the Charlotte, NC area soon after and, in 2015, became owners of A Bao Time, one of the top-ten rated food trucks in the area. Natalya’s responsibilities were as varied then as they are now and the valuable experience she gained in her years as an entrepreneur have translated ideally to The City Kitch and her expanding role here.
Natalya also has her real estate license and works closely with people having difficulties being approved to purchase a home. She often spends months guiding them through the buying process.
Natalya, David and their two-year old son, Mason reside in Charlotte.
