Dave Hegnauer is the creative voice of The City Kitch.
A west coast native with a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA., Dave spread his entrepreneurial wings immediately after college as owner of a retail photography store and studio in his hometown just North of Portland, OR.
After a few years, Dave sold his interest in the camera store and turned his focus towards his family’s interest in finance, becoming the youngest credit union manager in the state of Washington.
He continued his entrepreneurial passion at the same time, becoming president of the local credit union chapter and fostering a marketing strategy that would soon become a business unto itself.
A move to Northern California provided the impetus and opportunity for this career entrepreneur to launch Q*Mark, a full service marketing and public relations business serving credit union clients in the Bay Area. Creating marketing strategies, providing training, tracking results and developing or revamping products and services, Q*Mark became the standard in credit union marketing for nearly a decade and set the stage for Dave’s love of mentoring and helping to create successful businesses.
Hegnauer next applied his management and marketing talents to the retail automotive industry focusing on finance and improving lagging sales and operations.
Now he brings his diverse marketing and public relations skills to North Carolina. Here he met his wife, Carrie, a Sr. Culinary Instructor at the prestigious Johnson & Wales University’s College of Culinary Arts and owner of The City Kitch.
Their individual expertise and passions provide a uniquely suited combination of culinary acumen and management know-how unparalleled in the Charlotte area.
